American Aggregates Corp. Quarry, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana CLOSED TO COLLECTING IN EARLY 1990’s  

Spherical aggregates of octahedral and modified cubic crystals of Pyrite occurring in the lower New Albany Shale, just above the contact with the underlying North Vernon Limestone, from the middle and late Devonian and early Mississipean age. 260-320 million years ago. Huizing and Russell, 1986.
